Q: What is Madison County Distillery known for?
A: We’re a family-run distillery and restaurant in Cazenovia, NY, crafting small-batch spirits using local organic corn and pure limestone filtered water. Guests love our handcrafted cocktails, scratch-made tacos & comfort food, and scenic country setting—just minutes from Syracuse.
Q: Where are you located?
A: We’re right on scenic Route 20 in Cazenovia, surrounded by the rolling hills of Central New York. Our address is 2412, Rt. 20. It’s an easy drive from Syracuse, Hamilton, and Fayetteville.
Q: What are your hours?
A: Our hours can vary seasonally, so it’s always best to check our Hours & Contact Page or Google listing for the latest times. We're currently only closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Food & Drink
Q: Do you serve food?
A: Absolutely. Our kitchen serves locally inspired comfort food—from award winning tacos and smash burger tacos to sharable appetizers and enchiladas with an occasional brunch. Everything pairs perfectly with our cocktails and spirits.
Q: What spirits do you make?
A: We distill Rt. 20 Rum, Generals Gin, and Stone Quarry Vodka—all made on-site with our pure quarry water. Also, we like trying out new spirit recipes and share with our customers when we have something new and exciting.
Q: Can I do a tasting?
A: Yes! Stop by for a complimentary tasting and to learn about our distilling process. Our team loves sharing the stories (and samples) behind each bottle.
Private Events & Parties
Q: Can I host a private event at the distillery?
A: Yes, we love to host celebrations of all kinds—birthdays, showers, anniversaries, rehearsal dinners, and corporate gatherings. Our rustic space, local food, and handcrafted cocktails make for a memorable event.
Q: What catering options do you offer?
A: We customize each event menu to fit your style—from casual buffets and heavy apps to full dinners and cocktail-style receptions. Dietary needs? No problem.

Visiting the Distillery
Q: Do you take reservations?
A: We currently don't take reservations, however if joining us with larger groups or on busy weekends, we always appreciate a phone call or messaging us online.
Q: Is Madison County Distillery family-friendly?
A: Yes! While our cocktails are made for adults, our welcoming atmosphere and tasty menu plus large outdoor field make us a great spot for families too.
Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: Friendly dogs are welcome on our outdoor patio when weather allows. We kindly ask you to pick up after you pet if the situation requires.
Q: Is there outdoor seating?
A: Yes -our outdoor seating offers beautiful views of the CNY countryside, perfect for sipping cocktails and watching the gorgeous sunsets. During our warm season, we also have bands playing on our outdoor stage best enjoyed from our outdoor patio.
Shopping & Spirits
Q: Can I buy your spirits to take home?
A: Yes, bottles are available for purchase right at the distillery. You can also find our spirits in select local liquor stores—just ask for Madison County Distillery brands.
Q: Do you ship your spirits?
A: We don’t currently ship spirits, but we’re working on expanding our distribution across New York State and are working hard to offer our spirits for sale from our website. Please continue to check back as we expect this feature to be in the near future.
